Nationalism, Religion and Violence in Europe 2014
The Summer School will focus on four different but interconnected themes. Every theme will be discussed over two consecutive days, being divided into three subsections (Framework and Theory, Interdisciplinary Approach, Case Study) and a fieldwork. Overall, the Seminar will take place over 10 days, 60 working hours including fieldwork trips. In addition, a weekend trip to Terezín (Theresienstadt) memorial will be organized.The themes specification and schedule will be following:

June 24-25, 2014 – Theme 1: Instutions and Politics
- sections with Jessie Hronešová, James Ker-Lindsay and Nikos Skoutaris
- fieldwork: United Nations Information Center in Prague
June 26-27, 2014 – Theme 2: Nationalism and Religion
- sections with Robert Gerwarth, Jacques Rupnik and Emil Souleimanov
- fieldwork: tracing war and genocide memories/memorials in Prague
June 29, 2014 – Weekend trip to Terezín Ghetto Memorial (Theresienstadt)
June 30 – July 1, 2014 – Theme 3: Violence and Genocide

July 2-3, 2014 – Theme 4: Memory
