Maurizio Guerri

Maurizio Guerri works at Istituto nazionale «Ferruccio Parri», teaches Contemporary Philosophy and History of Social Communications at Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera and is adjunct professor of Didactic Labs at Philosophy Department, Università degli Studi di Milano. His main research fields are: philosophy of images and visual culture, images and politics, philosophy of history, morphology, German aesthetics in 20th century. Among his publications: Ernst Jünger. Terrore e libertà, Agenzia X, Milano 2007; Filosofia della fotografia, Cortina, Milano 2014; Le immagini delle guerre contemporanee, Meltemi, Milano 2018; some chapters in A. Pinotti (ed.), Costellazioni, Einaudi, Torino 2019. During the summer school, prof. Guerri will present on the topic of the “operational images” in Harun Farocki’s works.
