The  “Borderlands of Memory: Nationalism, Religion and Violence in Europe” 4EU+ Summer School 2021 organized at the Charles University (CUNI), September 6-10, 2021, by the 4EU+ Alliance “Plurality of Memories in Europe in a Global Perspective” Consortium, formed by CUNI, University of Warsaw, Sorbonne University, the University of Copenhagen, Heidelberg University and the University of Milan. The program follows in the steps of the praised 4EU+ “Memory in Conflict” Winter School 2020 at the University of Warsaw as well as the well-established Nationalism, Religion and Violence Summer Schools which were forced into a gap year by the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020. The program provides advanced MA and PhD students from the partner universities a chance to participate in a series of lectures, workshops, and seminars from various disciplines such as psychology, sociology, anthropology, history, literature, political sciences, cultural studies, digital humanities or performative arts, led by top scholars from the Charles University, University of Warsaw, Sorbonne University, the University of Copenhagen, Heidelberg University and the University of Milan. The program realization at CUNI is carried out by the Institute of International Studies and the Malach Center for Visual History.
